Founded in 1890 the viniculture profession of the BIBINGER winery relies untill today onto 12 generations of winegrowers. Currently three generations of the family are involved in the winery operations and jointly conduct the winery BIBINGER to a successful future.
What started as a typical Palatinate mixed farm with orchards, viticulture and animal husbandry developed after numerous investments in wine cellars and buildings to the stylish and modern winery Bibinger in its present form.
Until 1960 our winery marketed the produced wines exclusively in barrels or in open containers. Convinced by the quality of our wines, we started in 1960 the estate botteling of our wines and the direct sale of Bibinger wine to our customers.
VINES & VINEYARDS
Over centuries grown knowledge about the terroir of our soil puts us in the position to plant the best matching grape variety on each vineyard we own. The mild almost Mediterranean climate of the Palatinate leaves in addition to Riesling and Burgundy also Merlot and Cabernet ripe to the highest qualities.
Health of our vineyards and caring treatment of nature is extremely important to us. Therefore we use in phytosanitary deliberately natural defenses. So we fight, for example, the voracious European grape berry moth by application of pheromone capsules. Insecticides are taboo in our winery for years!
The over generations acquired knowledge, continuous education and training about the art of vinification and the integration of new oenological practices into the winery processes are the strengths of our winery. This puts us in a position to craft wines of unique quality and wholesomeness.
We maintain our tradition and respect the unique cultural landscape of our homeland - the Palatinate. But we are not afraid in front of meaningful innovations and use them to get the optimum quality for our grapes and later wines.
